Green Gates

Overlooking Yarmouth Port Green on Cape Cod’s quiet, historic north shore

Green Gates sits above scenic Route 6A in the heart of vibrant Yarmouth Port village, overlooking Yarmouth Port Green and just a few minutes from three excellent beaches. One of Cape Cod’s most picturesque country lanes begins right at our driveway and winds past beautiful homes, a vast salt marsh, a way to water for your boat or kayak, and an ancient bridge (and swimming hole), all with peeks of Barnstable Harbor and famous Sandy Neck lighthouse. This is the “Old Cape” experience at its best: a secluded and private sanctuary in an authentic setting, yet just five miles from the Hyannis airport, bus station, train station, and docks (Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard can be reached in 60 minutes flat via high-speed ferry).

For locations, you couldn’t ask for better. We loved the convenience to other “towns” by being right on 6A. Barnstable, Dennis and Brewster are really close. It was also a quick trip to Hyannis. I really couldn’t have asked for a better location to spend our trip in Cape Cod.
